Yesterday

Yesterday we started our Bible Study back. It is called, He Speaks To Me by Priscilla Shirer. I really enjoy it. The first session was about having faith like a child and having a child-like relationship with Jesus. She was talking about Samuel, and the fact that God bypassed the priest, Eli, in order to talk to Samuel. Point being that Samuel was only a child and God still spoke to him.
Priscilla Shirer was talking about us coming to God as children would, and depending fully on Him. We need to be willing to listen when He speaks, and stop acting so grown up and like we know it all for a moment. We also learned that when we ask God for something, we need to expect Him to come through for us. She used the example of children and how they ask us for something that they cannot do for themselves, and then expect that their mom or dad will come through for them. They fully depend on us...just like the way we should be with Jesus.
