What a day!

Today was a day that I was planning on getting some errands done. Well, I got them done, but with kinda a cranky, tired baby.
Here is my day: Hannah wakes up at 6:45 crying and saying "Bunny, Bunny"(She was screaming for the bunny that we saw outside last night, I think she dreamed about him? maybe...) then we said our goodbyes to Nick, and he left for work (We always have to get a group hug in), then we got breakfast and got ready for the day and were ready to leave by 9:45. By this time Hannah was rubbing her eyes and doing her tired grunts. I had to mail off a box so I did that, then went to drop off a letter, then went to the local food pantry to drop bags (they are always in need of bags and we always have tons of them). Well, here comes the hook, line, and sinker...I ended up spending about 20 minutes trying to find a optometrist that would take a prescription that I had, and put it in my glasses that I have to wear to drive. This wasn't any regular prescription, this was a special prescription that I am in critical need of. Well, come to find out my local eye doctor here would not do it because they don't take any outside prescription (like their doctor's are the best or something...jeesh! Well I drive clear across town to someone else and they tell me at the last minute that my insurance won't cover it...I am getting kind of aggravated and also by this point in the day it is blistering hot and I have a aggravated baby as well. These people tell me the name of yet another eye doctor who will do it and they do take my insurance. Yay!! I go over there. I tell the lady at the front what I need and I sit down. She comes and takes my glasses, prescription, and insurance card and she tells me that it will be NO problem...(Sigh of relief) BIG problem...They have everything in the computer, but my insurance won't pay!
That was a waste of $4.00 gas. There's always tomorrow.

any friend of Caroline's is a friend of mine ;)! Thanks for stopping in!

I wish I could help! I actually am a part owner in an optical wholesale lab and could have those glasses whipped up for you in no time---and at my cost too! If you can't find anyone to do them for you there, and don't mind paying the shipping to Idaho---I'll get them made for you! (we bloggers stick together!)

And thanks for the idea about donating bags to the food pantry. I'd never thought about doing that before, but what a blessed use of extra plastic bags!

All the best to you!
